Adrian started in amateur theatre backstage for local group Greasepaint. Then in 1998, Ade was asked by Jim Sheilds, of Twist and Shout, to be involved backstage with "How to Suceed". This was the first time the "Crew in Black" team were brought together. Soon after that he joined the ESNA Players and got involved in the scratch building of scenery, starting with "Chess", then "Sweeney Todd", "Barnum", "Oliver", "Mack and Mabel", "Follies", "Crazy for You", "West Side Story", "Return to the Forbidden Planet", "Anything Goes", "Oklahoma" and "My Fair Lady". He has also been involved with many other local groups..
